A new discovery led by Catherine Flores
, Ph.D., the principal investigator of the Hematopoietic Stem Cell Engineering Laboratory within the UF Brain Tumor Immunotherapy Program, using stem cells to overcome resistance to immunotherapy drugs may open the door to more effective treatment for brain cancer.
“Our goal is to develop therapies that are safe, effective and have less damaging long-term effects on our patients,” said Flores.
