Grace Lloyd, a Ph.D. candidate in the department of neuroscience, is the latest investigator to be featured in MBI Rising Stars, a video series highlighting up-and-coming neuroscience researchers at UF.
Working in the lab of Benoit Giasson, M.D., a professor of neuroscience, Lloyd studies the molecular underpinning of neurodegenerative diseases, including Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, multiple systems atrophy and Lewy body dementia, with the hope of identifying biomarkers that could potentially lead to better diagnostics for these conditions.
