MBI Rising Stars: Priscilla Amofa-Ho

Priscilla Amofa-Ho, a Ph.D. candidate in the department of clinical and health psychology at the College of Public Health and Health Professions, is the latest investigator to be featured in MBI Rising Stars, a video series highlighting up-and-coming neuroscience researchers at UF.

Working in the labs of Glenn Smith, Ph.D., and Shellie-Anne Levy, Ph.D., Amofa-Ho is pursuing research into whether patient-centered behavioral interventions could delay more severe cognitive decline in people with mild cognitive impairment. Her research also aims to investigate the influence of biopsychosocial factors in the development and prevention of Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias, as well as identify barriers to participating in aging research among marginalized populations.

Amofa-Ho has completed an NIH T32 Training Fellowship in Alzheimer’s disease and is a current T32 fellow in the Non-Pharmacological Interventions for Cognition in Aging, MCI, and Alzheimer’s Disease program.
